Publishing means choosing
what deserves to endure.

Some books give shape to fundamental questions: what it means to educate, how a culture develops, and which responsibilities sustain our common life. This is the territory in which Salamanca is developing its editorial work.

Our approach connects intellectual tradition with the concrete questions of the present. We value clear language, coherent arguments and careful engagement with sources.

Translation and publication projects require licensing and specific agreements with rights holders. Each proposal is considered individually.

01

Curation

Reading and assessment of a work’s fit with our editorial programme.

02

Rights

03

A Arquitetura da Disciplina

Authority, habits and responsibility

The project examines the relationship between legitimate authority, adult responsibility and the formation of habits. Discipline is considered part of institutional culture and preparation for common life.

It connects educational reflection with school organisation, focusing on coherence between principles, rules and everyday practice.

A Arquitetura da Ordem

Foundations of a strong, traditional, classical and civic school

Building on the intellectual foundations of A Arquitetura da Disciplina, the project develops the idea of a strong school: a clear mission, responsible adults, a demanding curriculum and consistent practices.

It considers everyday experiences — arrival, lessons, study, language, assessment, arts and sport — and their contribution to intellectual, moral and civic formation.

Maquiavel Pedagogo, 30 Anos Depois

The engineering of minds and the decline of Western education

The manuscript explores the relationship between educational ideas, institutions and cultural transformations in Western education.

Its approach brings together intellectual history, philosophy of education and educational policy analysis, engaging with a conservative perspective on formation and cultural transmission.
